This month became a collection of little weekend escapes. It was hectic, sure, but somehow each one was exactly what I needed. Let's jump right in!

Lifestyle: Travel & Relationships
Joshua Tree
This month, I went on a Joshua Tree weekend trip with the boys in my family to celebrate my brother’s birthday. I gifted the lodging as his present, and it made my heart so warm seeing how much they loved the spot I picked, my dad even said, “We need to come back, but for longer next time!” At this point, Joshua Tree is basically a yearly getaway for me, and it’s perfect for my family too. My dad loves stargazing, so it was extra cozy to turn on the fireplace at night and watch the sky together. He told me it always reminds him of living in the countryside in Korea, where the stars were just as bright. It’s crazy how far you can live from home, yet the sky still looks the same. Overall, it was such a nice little escape and exactly what we all needed.
San Francisco
Stephanie and I had our annual reunion for her birthday, and honestly, I’m impressed by our commitment that we always show up for each other, no matter whose city it is. At this point, SF feels like a second home to me. I always have so much fun visiting NorCal, and the food never disappoints. This trip’s highlight was definitely the dim sum we had, made even sweeter because I finally got to meet Stephanie’s boyfriend and he treated us.
Getting to know him that weekend was really meaningful. We had some deeper conversations, and it felt like a good moment of growth for everyone. I’m really grateful they trusted me enough to let me see a bit of their dynamic. They’re genuinely cute together, and I truly wish them the best.
We also went to Chris Lake for Stephanie’s birthday activity, which was such a blast. Dancing with her and her close NorCal friends felt nostalgic, almost like we were back in college for a moment. Overall, such a special trip.
Korea
I wrapped up the month and my streak of back-to-back travels with my annual Korea trip. I got to take little weekend getaways to Ganghwado and Sokcho, which was so fun and refreshing. Seeing different parts of Korea with my family made the trip feel extra special. I also loved reuniting with my grandparents and spending time with them; it always warms my heart.
My mom spoiled me with too much good food, taking me to amazing restaurants and fun cafés throughout the trip. I also got to see my friend Yuri, who somehow always ends up in Korea at the same time I do every year, which I love. We explored Seongsu, which was packed with cool shops, pop-ups, and the perfect spots for shopping and wandering. We spent the day café hopping, shopping, and just enjoying the chaos in the best way.
Overall, Korea has been so much fun so far and the perfect way to close out such a busy month.
Work
Work continued to be chaotic this month with a lot of transitions and uncertainties around my new role. I had so many projects on my plate that I felt completely overwhelmed, even while at the airport before my flight to Korea.
There were a few bright spots, though. Our Q4 meeting ended with a fun bonding session at Top Golf. I don’t really know how to golf, but I had a blast playing Angry Birds and just enjoying the time with the team.
Lows & Lessons:
Work continued to be time-consuming, stressful, and full of uncertainties. But considering the economy and all the travels I managed this month, I feel incredibly lucky to have a job that allows me the support to travel and explore.
I also did my annual breast check, which always makes me nervous since I’ve had surgery in the past. Luckily, everything was clear. It’s always a good reminder that health is wealth and we need to continue taking care of our bodies.
As exhausting as the back-to-back trips were, I know how privileged I am to be able to travel, be there for my loved ones, and find moments to refresh, recharge, and relax in Korea. I’m so grateful for my family, who always fill my cup and make these experiences even more meaningful.

My Pick of the Month: Korean Food

Obviously, I ate a lot of Korean food while in Korea, and it hits so hard. Seriously, if you need a sign, this is it...go eat some Korean food!
November was a month of little escapes, each one hectic, joyful, and exactly what I needed. From family trips to Korea, weekend adventures, and meaningful moments with friends, it reminded me how much these small getaways recharge the soul. I'm taking this energy and a hint of adventure with me into the coming month.
Talk to you next month,
